There are people who eat processed foods in absolute extremes and others who have it occasionally, in conjunction with a very balanced and healthy diet etc.
If we're predisposed and our bodies don't have a chance to recuperate or gain strength...I can see that it wouldn't take long for autoimmune to kick in.
Food intake is important, and I totally agree that there are many things in food items that absolutely do NOT need to be there.
But, it's solely driven by the buzz words of the day...I more so blame the artificial sweeteners, trans fats and high salt.
The food industry is changing things to suit the needs of the public. The better suited to what people imagine they can consume in larger quantities, the more they'll purchase. That's the enticement.
0 calories, 0 this and that....all bullcrap. Health bars, foods, etc...they're the first ingredients that should be scrutinised.
At least we now have labeling for ingredients, % and additives...
To purchase is in our hands, but the voice of the purchasers has to be much louder. It's turning out to be the manufacturers who dictate what we need. They're now going to make beef that's higher in omega 3....that'll cause a problem depending on the source...they already do it for eggs..fishy eggs for breakfast, yummy
Why can't we just eat a variety to fulfill our needs instead of it being forced upon us? Because everything has become bad for us according to the beliefs and surveys and the tests of the day.
Nothing is simple anymore....even the basics.
