I've been feeling well enough to start my routine again. Actually P90X is kicking my butt! I'm using ultra filtered, non GMO whey protein (unflavored). I'm doing great, but I'd like to find a better recovery shake with BCAA and maybe a little bit of creatine.
For those that routinely use these supplements, have you had any adverse effects?
I'm trying to find weight supplements that are also grass fed, non-GMO, low glycemic and gut friendly!
So far I've found Formulx brand, but they don't have labels, they just say "grass fed, nothing artificial, low glycemic" etc.
Suggestions?

I wouldn't mess around with any of these supplements given my IBD. Better to eat less complex versions of the same nutrients. That's just me, though.
I'm excited to start working out again, though. I'm starting to feel more up to it. Glad you've been able to jump back on the horse!

I'm afraid to work out now. The past 3 times I've begun lifting weights again, I've gotten bleeding 3 days after my first session that led to flares. It just happened again now... After a 3 month remission I decided to start lifting again and what do you know, blood after the first or second gym visit :(
I'm using Muscle Milk Protein (delicious!), could also be the cause.. or complete coincidence

I am really happy to be lifting again. Prednisone was 20mg sunday but its 10 today so the RS diet is really helping me drop despite being on high dose blood thinners.
Creatine is really nasty on the gut at least use the kre-alkylyn one dont use old school creatine monohydrate and never during a flare.
I have cut back nearly all whey protein, I LOVE oats-n-why by Optimum Nutrition.
What I use post worktout is PURE GREEN PROTEIN.
That will treat you right and the spectrum of protein is exactly = spectrum of protein in human muscle.

I'm still battling massive fatigue, but today was so gorgeous, I went for a run. I had to have leg surgery to be able to run, and when I was finally recovered enough from surgery ... UC struck!
I only wish running weren't such a potent BM trigger ... went right away when I got home!

I tried to take as little supplements as possible these days. I use to take a bucket full when I was younger and hitting the gym heavy 6 days a week. Now I just go 2-3 times a week and still keep the workload heavy and intense. Right now all i take is a protein shake and have no issues with it.

I have used Muscle Milk, with no side affects. I've tried some other name brands and just flushed my money away
. Welcome back to the gym! P90 is a big way to jump in! I agree it kicked my butt as well.
