She was having a flare up, went in and eventually had a perforation of the bowl which caused free air to release into her body, she was blowing up, eventually because they could not stop what was happening she got sepsis ( Blood poisoning ), after 6 surgery's they got her to the point of sitting up in a chair, but they removed alot of her insides, she even smiled, but then from all the work the doctors did on her body she had a massive heart attack, it took 30 minutes to get her back, but she did not come back, only her body did. It was traumatic to my family, 37 days of "Ok, what do we do now"... making decisions to keep or alive or let her die, eventually we had to have them do a "DNR" order. Other than her, I have never heard of someone dying from UC. she was 58.
