Would you consider trying Paleo?
IMO it's better and more effective than SCD.
ALso, you could also add slippery elm powder, l-glutamine.
Have you given any thought to LDN?

Hello..I just got over a flare and it was bad....i drank protien shakes and added some coconut milk and a banana/frozen blueberrys for 3 days straight...no food...it was very hard..but i couldnt eat. i did breakfast..lunch and dinner...that way...then, i know i needed some food so i started to eat like half of a tuna sand on white bread, just plain. i use a veganaise instead o real mayo. in the morning i made a hard boiled egg, plain...and i slowly but surley started to feel better with regular bms...i did drink prune juice if i had that feeling like i couldnt go and i was bloated...it all came out....i also bought some smart water...it is Enhanced with Electrolytes and kept me hydrated. But, the most important thing was to eat less drink water and get plenty of rest. I used a heating pad at night and layed it right on my tummy b/c it hurt so bad...every night i did that. i did drink coffee to but i use silk creamer instead of milk....and slowly when u feel better u can introduce foods back into ur diet. So keep positive...get some exercise like walking ur dog or just keep motivated to keep thing moving in there. Thats what i did and im not on any meds...i stopped them b/c they stopped working and i had a rash on my face...im feeling great now..its almost unbelievable i dont want to jinx it...lol i bought my protien shake at the grocery store...it was gen soy. i also stopped eating meat. i do eat fish. i bought a food proccessor and its great...chops everything up in smaller bites and u can make alot of great dishes milk free....best of luck to u
LDN is low dose naltrexone.
You can see the last post on the UC resources page, it's all about LDN.
bananagirl said...have you tried colostrum? i took it for a solid 1.5 months and my bleeding was gone. i had needed a few blood tranfusions before that so it really helped. i've added it back in today because i've been gushing blood the last few days from trying raw goat's milk- big mistake!
