This is going to be choppy, sorry.. havent much time.
start her on the benadryl and we will get the rest dialed down. You can order Dao, but you can just walk into a store and get the benedryl and see if that helps.
I know how hard it is. Bless you for continuing to try. You gotta send me her whole story and I might be able to help more. I know that takes time
Im not experiencing seasonal allergies this year, I think due to lifting my methylation block. I really believe in getting the detox pathways
open.
Without them being
open, Unfortunately glutathione is basically just getting peed out at this point, most likely.
I use the L-Mthf and Methyl B12. I sometimes use C. I ONLY use C-SALTS
www.nutri.com/index.cfm/page/C_Salts/ this is not the same C as products like emergen-c.. it is much gentler on the stomach which is important for folks with stomach issues. I dont know that C would be what Id use first though.
Id get the MTHFR supplementation going.
This is the shortcut path to kinda kick start things.
www.holisticheal.com/phosphatidyl-serine-complex-pspepc.htmlyou can buy similar products on amazon.
Honestly, Im doing these all at the same time, supporting the shortcut and taking B12 and active folinic acid. I didnt really mess with addressing glutamate levels as she suggests. Since your daughter is only experiencing GI related issues I feel like maybe it's easier to unlock this stuff then when you are dealing with a child with autism, like Dr. Amy's audience, where you have to unlock the whole body system. Rich Konyenberg had a very simple 5 supplement protocol he used and had good success with and it included just Phosphatydil Serine. That is what im taking, Ill add a complex when I run out.
I use methyl B12 but am going to switch to these forms when Im out.
(info from the simplified roadmap)
"AdenosylB12
is a special form of B12 that is important in the energy cycle in the cells ofyour body. It is important to have adenosyl B12 but it is not as versatile as other forms ofB12 so it can be used in lower doses.
Hydroxycobalamin
, or hydroxyB12 is a unique form of vitamin B12, which is more easilyconverted to the form that is actually used for reactions in the body. This might causeyou to ask, why doesn’t everyone use high dose hydroxylB12 in their formulations? Well,Hydroxycobalamin (Hydroxy B12) is more difficult to work with, harder to keep in anactive form and more expensive than some other forms of B12, such as cyanoB12. Forthis reason, many other products do not contain hydroxyl B12 and instead usecyanoB12"
and
l-5-mthf
(here is dr amy's info-- I like using her info when talking about
children cause so many with children are doing these protocols at these doses whereas Im shooting in more of the dark when I talk about
supplementation and amounts Id do the MethylMate B to start or
www.amazon.com/L-5-MTHF-Sublingual-Metafolin-Methylcobalamin-Methylfolate/dp/B00822JNTC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368647851&sr=8-1&keywords=l+5+methylfolate and you can tie in the b-12 and l-mthf. You need to start with 1/4 of a tablet and work up every few days. Watch close for detox like constipation.)
"In addition to B12 support the long route around the cycle also uses folate. Those withMTHFR mutations cannot use plain folate ideally, and instead the use of 5 methyl THF helpsto bypass MTHFR mutations. MethylMate B is a liquid form of 5 methyl THF that allows you toadjust the dose of 5 methyl THF down to very low levels. This is important as the addition of 5methylTHF will often be the piece that triggers significant detox of toxic substances from thebody. Having the ability to adjust this process with exquisite control is a real plus as it allowsyou to adjust the dose of 5 methylTHF and hence to have some control over the rate of detox.Starting with one drop or even one dilute drop is possible and then gradually increasing to 3drops daily if tolerated. Dr. Amy is well aware that there are other programs that use muchhigher doses of 5 methyl THF. While this is not her preference at all, you can increase theamount of MethylMate B as needed to adapt to whatever program you are usingMethylMate A contains the ingredients to help to support the remainder of the methylationcycle. It includes nucleotides to take the pressure off the cycle and the immune system forgenerating nucleotide building blocks. It includes a low dose source of folinic acid as well aslactoferrin to support proper balance for the SHMT portion of the cycle (although those whoare SHMT + should consider additional SHMT support). MethylMate A also includes low dosesupport for natural biopterin,as well as additional short cut support for PS, PE, PC, PI. One ormore MethylMate A is sufficient for support of the cycle"
That is how I would start her. She is going to detox.
Did you add the butyrate in? Is it helping or did this start around the time you added it?
