Alopecia

Today my hairdresser found a small bald spot, or alopecia, on the back of my head. It is well covered, for now at least. It is about thumbprint size. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it related to UC, meds (Apriso), or just stress, the typical cause according to my hairdresser?

my 14 year old son has a penny size one for over 2 years now,it's not getting bigger or smaller. He does not have any health issues!
