As others have said, you'll get a lot of variable answers to this question, but here's what is working for me.
I have tried strict SCD, GAPS, and Paleo.
I ended up with a sort of mixture of them all. I never fully resolved all my issues while not eating any starches, and had tried this several times for several months at a time. Then I'd give up and have some white rice, and noticed symptoms getting better. So after a couple of years of fiddling with my diet, I now eat pretty much whatever fruits and veggies I want but I go very easy on the cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflour, cabbage, etc), lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish), sweet potatoes, occasional white rice, less occasional corn, nuts (soaked and roasted myself, time consuming but easy, haven't caused my any troubles). I eat slow and try to chew everything really really well. I also try to eat at regular times, try not to eat too much at any time. Basically just try to be super duper consciencious about what and how I eat.
My NO List: sugar, nothing artificial, no additives of preservatives, dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, sesame, white potatoes. No caffeine, chocolate, or alcohol.
Hope that helps...
