Does anyone here have Lupus??

I was wondering if anyone here has been diagnosed with Lupus.
I have read that there might be some correlation between UC and
Lupus

Don't know about that particular connection but it is a proven fact that those who come down with an autoimmune disease have an increased susceptibility to getting another at some point. UC is my second one.

I have never heard that.

I have however heard what gary mentioned. I worry a lot about lupus because I am so tired and I feel generally unwell all of the time.

Some people get Lupus brought on by Remicade if they take remicade for UC. Some other drugs can cause it too. Its callled drug induced lupus. Other than that I don't know of any connection. It happened to my husbands niece. She has CD and went on remicade for it. She came down with Lupus symptoms really bad but once she stopped the remi the lupus went away.

No one in my family has UC except me, but Lupus runs in my family, from mr great grandma, to my grandma to my mom....

I think any autoimmune disease can run in families. UC runs in mine but my mom has rheumatoid arthritis which is autoimmune.
