I have always taken psyllium husk and it has never caused me gas or bloating. A year or so ago I tried the psyllium seed and it gave me horrible, horrible gas so I went back to husk. But recently I tried seed again Andie not having any problems with it.
So, as with everything with UC, you have to find out what works for you and it is important not to rule anything because it did not work for you one time. Trial and error.
I'd say because I've had a low fibre diet for so long (more to do with reflux, or gastric emptying problems) my body is just not use to it, hopefully next try will be better. I ate four dates tue other day, same deal.. Heaps of bloating.. I can handle gas as long as it comes out, it's when it doesn't it hurts..
