I have shat in a bag in the car, shat on the side of the road, stopped at stations etc.

Give yourself and your fiance a little break. just as you didn't know this would happen and were not prepared for it he also has no experience dealing with someone with UC. People who don't have UC think it's a matter of "control" like a toddler after being toilet-trained. As we know the inflammation makes control impossible when things are bad.

My husband is one of the most thoughtful and kind people but he forgets. Once when furniture shopping I had to find the ladies room across the store and walked in that direction. He saw me leave and said loudly "Where are you going?". Oh the look-that-kills he got then and the cross words he got later.

Because we don't look ill and cannot predict what our colons will do it's hard for our significant others to understand us at all times. After that he became hyper-sensitive and then I had to tell him "don't worry--I'll tell you when I feel bad" so he wasn't keyed-up all the time. When we stay in a hotel room he always asks if I'd like the bathroom first. Isn't that a wonderful husband?

I think if you're that bad off you should buy something like Prevail. I have some Prevails and I've worn them on plane trips, and business trips when I was worried about loss of control.

I wear Depends every day.  True....no one knows you wear them.  But nothing stops runny d.  Ick  PS I got a hole-in-one wearing Depends.  Yay!
