I'm on oral mesalamine and the suppository. I really hope it is just a hemmie, but things here have been stressful so it's hard to say. What do u guys do to stop the bleeding?

I bled for a little over two years the last time ending the struggle with a 2 week hospital stay, so these past 6 weeks have been heavenly, so this is the reason why I'm concerned and wish there was more to just waiting. :(

I'm an expat in Mexico, so it's really tough here and the hospitals that I can afford look more like one from Germany in WW2! Lol and I can't find a GI that knows anything about UC unfortunaly. I'm on a low residue, band diet which I've been following quite closely since I was released from the hospital but I did miss one of the suppository doses, but only 1! Do you think that was enough to send me back into a flare? Ugh

I was bleeding very heavily with the UC for 1 1/2 years straight - and the only thing that stopped that was LDN, low dose naltrexone.

I  would suggest you look into that. There's a post on the UC resources pages all about it.

Since you are in Mexico, you may be able to find it there as there are so many meds available without prescriptions, but if not, let me know and I'll explain how you can get it.

So you can compare costs, in the US it costs $30-50 per month.
