I wanted any information on assistance for getting Remicaid treatments without insurance coverage.
I do have insurance (BCBS FL HMO) however it was considered a pre-existing condition as I was diagnosed during a 4 month period when I was without insurance. I spent 30 days hospitalized this May (I now have at least 45,000.00 in medical bills) and the only thing working to keep me in remission is Remicaid...which costs at least $8000.00 per session. Any suggestions?

janes seen biotech, maker of Remicade has a rebate program called Remistart, and an ongoing program to help cover the uninsured portion. There is an annual limit of $6000 after you submit the EOB. Phone number is 1-888-222-3771
Hope they can help you.

Have you ever tried Humira? A friend of mine was in a similar situation with her insurance, and she found that although the Remicade was so expensive, Humira was much more affordable.

In just a few months the whole preexisting condition thing will be gone, right? How frustrating it all is. I'm sorry this happened to you.
