I have been reading that turmeric is a anti inflammatory, has anyone tried this before? I know everyone's different but could anyone recommend which vitamins or supplements I could try out?
Merci Beaucoup CaptainColitis.... I miss pistachios a lot!

I have taken it, usually in forms that are supposed to (or at least claim to, lol) enhance bioavailability, for years in an effort to fught my UC but to be hinest, I never noticed even the sightest effect on my disease. However, it seems to have so many published benefits for overall health that I kept it up anyway, and do so even now that I chucked my colon.

There is a resources thread at the top of the page which lists various treatments, medical and non-medical.

I take it occasionally, but its really hard to tell if it works. Andrew weil recommends it for UC at a dose of 2g or about
4 capsules daily.

I take turmeric along with ginger everyday just for general health per my primary care physician.
