@julie mariah Good luck! Seems like you are trying a good assortment of remedies, I hope you are able to find some relief and remission. One other idea since you are already going as strict as SCD is to maybe switch over to Paleo for a month and see if that helps more? I know they are very close, the author of the new cookbook I use a lot also had UC and did that switch along with some natural remedies which finally worked for her, the book is called Against All Grain and the author is Danielle Walker, she also has a blog with a lot of her recipes you may want to check out: http://www.againstallgrain.com/ I think there she actually posts alternative ingredients for SCD vs paleo (for instance honey instead of maple syrup if you are SCD, etc).

My update on CCHerbal days 7-9's morning: have no blood, diarreah or urgency. A little mucous has returned, mostly with a BM (which are now fully formed and in greater diameter than they've been in months). One of my supplements ran out on Saturday, the Inflama-GI, and should be delivered today, I wonder if missing a few mornings of that mixed in with my Vitamineral Green is what brought back some mucous, or maybe those wings I had during the Pats game, we had them plain with dipping sauces on the side (I used no sauce) but they were fried and it's been a while since I tried anything fried when out to eat, at home I'll saute with coconut oil but highly doubt the bar we went to was doing that. Will continue to post updates on progress.

Overall feeling good, will leave tomorrow for a weeklong roadtrip which will prove a challenge eating wise. Plan to pack a lot of paleo-friendly snacks and bringing my bone broth no matter how strange I seem!

@garyl Good luck! I had a headache the end of the first day that may or may have not been a side effect. Didn't experience it again. I make sure to take it with a full glass of water right away. Please keep us posted on how it is working for you here. I hope it helps put your body back onto a healing path. Good luck!

It took me 4 days to see the result, on the 5th day I had a noticable improvement. I take some other things along with CCHerbal, so it might be the combination of the supplements. The headchaes and some nausea started on the 4th day. When I cut the dose to 1 cap. all side effects went away but the result stayed.

I can relate to eating out stress....we are leaving Thurs, will be back Fri evening, even that long, and I'm already thinking abt all the temptation out there!! Hoping I don't see a croissant! ;).
Are you taking 3 aday? Hope I don't feel nauseated hate that! Will just reduce the dose if I do.....may start slower too. Will be interesting to see how it works for all of us!

I'm glad you're having good results. I will look into this as well but for now Imuran is helping me lots. Keep us posted.

I took 2 CC yesterday, had headache, so decided not to take 3, may try 3 today. Headache feels like when I've taken antihistamine & drys my sinus out too much.
@ Plumsmom, how are you doing? Are you taking CC on empty stomach or with food?

I've been on it for a week now with no real changes. I have been taking 2 per day with no side effects so I am going to increase it up to 3 per day. GI appointment on Thursday. If no progress by then I will discontinue. I'm crossing my fingers as I would rather go this route then go with GI options. He has talked about Imuran before but I'm nixing Imuran. I may try to talk him into quick round of pred starting at 20mgs followed by Uceris and talk about after two months of Uceris taking it once or twice a week. I'm pretty sure he is going to want to schedule a colonoscopy. Was hoping to avoid that with the CCHerbal since I fear the prep may make my condition worse.

@garyl Hope you will soon find done results, if not, then with new medication your GI prescribes.

@julie Sorry to hear the headache is back, good to hear there is less blood. We live at 8500 ft but luckily it didn't seem to impact me pass that first day.

Finally had my first BM in nearly two days while on our road trip. Even with eating a bit off my normal ways was surprised to have just normal stool looking back at me in the toilet. Will be great if I can just starting eating eggs, chocolate and have some wine again. I'll be less afraid to have some more again but will keep it in moderation.

Plums, I haven't been able to do much. I have aded a few things per signature. I still on meds and flaring mildly. But I am able to work and function and that is good enough right now!

Also I am on day three of the FODMAPS elimination diet because I want to know definitively what I can and cannot tolerate! So tired of that guessing game. In two weeks I will start the challenges to find out.

Things are ok, def not great but ok!

Glad you are seeing something positive.

Made it 10 hours then had some major gas with some mucus. Today I started taking 3 pills instead of 2. I guess tomorrow will be a good test. Still not counting any chickens but may count some sheep tonight.
