I read an article that said you have to kill off the bad bacteria in your intestine along with healing it. The suggestion was Boswellic, Humic or Tannic Acid. Our nutritionist suggested Silver instead. On the GNC website it looked promising. Wasnt sure if anyone had already done this.
Starting Lysine and LGlutamine for healing.

I'm not sure what you mean by killing off the bad bacteria in your intestine. I'm not so sure that is a good idea, even if it were possible. In a normal healthy person there is a mix of a lot of bad bacteria along with more good bacteria. The good bacteria is usually plentiful enough to keep the bad bacteria in check and there is a balance of all this stuff going on constantly. Theoritically your balance of gut flora might not be good if you disrupted it by having too much good bacteria vs. bad bacteria. It is the balance that makes a normal person normal. I don't think we were meant to have all good bacteria and no bad. The thing with many of these protocol type treatments (such as Colloidal Silver) is that they are all made to sound logical to sell the product. It all makes perfect sense but you have several different products that all make sense and yet all make different arguements. You could read the sales propoganda on every single one of them and your light bulb goes on and you start thinking, "That makes perfect sense! This must be the cure!". Unfortunately, this disease isn't so simple as this propoganda makes it seem and anyone who came up with the cure to UC would be a billionaire already and the news would spread rapidly.

I tried it, It was suppose to kill candida. As I am on the drugs and have now made a decision to never come off again, I can say I don't think it made that much of a difference. I went completely med free, every regular member on this site knows I did, then tried extreme diet, silver, worm wood, golden seal. fish oils, psyllium husk, probiotics, and the probiotic enemas, etc. I really gave it a shot, and I can say I reduced some symptoms that I was having, but as for my rectum, nothing but mesalasine worked.

Qunicy- I tried the Salofalk enemas (the foam one) but they really irritated my rectum, so I got the Salofalk suppositories and they seem to be working.
