My latest trip to the health food store..

I'm getting obsessed with supplements and herbs..I bought some "holy basil" Tulsi tea..it's interesting to read about! It has anti-inflammatory properties according to what I've googled...and it's been well-known in India for over 3000 years and has recently gained popularity in the US. The only thing bad about it I've found is someone posting on a forum to be careful, caused a horrible reaction..then he or she decided it might have been their shower curtain causing the reaction...Anyway, I thought with anti-inflammatory benefits AND stress relief, it might be something to try. It tastes good.

ya, I've always tried to stay away from anything with showercurtain listed in the ingredients !

I still drink it occasionally and should drink it more since it's supposed to reduce stress, not sure about UC because I haven't had a real flare since January...the latest "flare" turned out to be Campylobacter and after a week's worth of the RIGHT antibiotics, I'm back to full remission. It has great claims to help with many things all over the internet. I definitely need stress relief, because I recently woke up with bad tension headaches for about 7 days in a row..finally went to the chiropractor and got some relief.

I started growing Holy basil in my garden a few years ago. It comes up everywhere now unlike the normal species of basil which rarely volunteers and is weird tasting when it does.. I like the taste and use it in salsa and stir fries. Tastes like cloves. It is very easy to grow in pots.
