Taking canasa for the first time

My daughter is scheduled for a colonoscopy in Dec due to current flare-up. This will be her third. She recently changed Drs from pediatric to adult.
In the meantime she has been given Canasa suppository to take at night. After the first night she had full blown diarrhea. Her dr wanted her to take this because she had been seeing blood. After 3rd day she started to feel like she did before taking the canasa, no diarrhea and was going RR 3 times a day. She didn't take again for 2 days and her symptoms became worse of diarrhea, pain and blood. She took canasa two days in a row and has gotten bad abdominal pains when she is sleeping. She has gone to the RR 7 times so far today. I'm not sure I should have her keep taking the canasa, she's going to start taking every other day and then every other 2 days etc until she is weaned off of it or has the colonoscopy which ever comes first. Is this normal with Canasa?
She's currently taking 6mp, canasa, probiotics and B/C

I don't think, it has anything to do with Canasa.

I think the methodology that the doc used was wrong. When I was in flare and my GI wanted me to start Canasa. She put me on Hydrocortisone enema 3X a day for a week, then 2X day for next week and depending on symptoms, I was told to continue or go down to 1X a week and introduce Canasa at night (i.e. Hydrocortisone enema in the afternoon and Canasa at night).
Thus, the worse of the flare got under control and Canasa continued 'remission'.

If she is making too many trips to the oval office, bentyl would help her
