I had my first infusion this last Monday. Since then I have been having migraines and trouble sleeping.

Anyone else with with the same problems and how long did they last?

That's a new one to me. If Remi is the only thing that changed ,and you are newly experiencing migraines, you should check in with your GI.

A headache after the infusion is very regular for me, and I believe a few others have experienced this. I also get headaches about 2 weeks before my next infusion.

I've been on Remi for about 2 years. I had headaches in the beginning but no trouble sleeping. The headaches lasted until my body got used to it which was about 3-4 months. They weren't migraines though, just an annoying ache.

I'm totally opposite. No aches and with Remi I can sleep for hours on end.

I had remi infusions for six years and had a headache after each one for a day or two.

I've heard lots of people get headaches and joint pain and stuff. Luckily I haven't so far. Does your infusion nurse run a saline solution before he/she starts your remicade? Mine does for 15 min or so. The most common cause of headaches is dehydration so if they don't do a saline solution, make sure you drink lots of water before and after, or ask them or your doctor for the saline.

I have not noticed headaches although I did get them on Humira. Currently have three doses of Remicade and contemplating whether or not to do the fourth in a month. I just noticed this week I'm losing a ton of hair and hear that is a common Remicade side effect, wondering if that is because of it. So far the drug is not really helping me at all.

anyone else have hair loss and how soon did it stop after stopping the med if you did?

My husband got horrible migraines and fevers on Remicade.
The would last for a few days and fade as the days went by. Then he'd get another infusion and BAM, they would start all over.

The remicade actually took away the joint pain I started suffering from. I was getting headaches, but that was from tapering off of pred.
