My baby girl. :) Had I not been in a really solid remission, I wouldn't have felt confident enough to have a second baby.

I appreciate not having to think about
having a chronic illness until I have to take 3 pills at night, then bam, no more thoughts of UC until the next night. Remission is a wonderful thing.

Lol I'll let you know if I ever get to remission... 1.5 years and still trying.

Brown coloured toilet paper. Or better yet, white, that's real remission for me.

It's one less thing to have me feel crappy.

I said farting as what I appreciate most, but what I'm most grateful for is that I take pains to be in better overall health than before I was diagnosed.

Not having to worry about
urgency, being able to go out without worrying about
whether or not there will be bathrooms.

Smiling naturally, not forced; having bursts of creativity; reconnecting and deepening connections with people; not focusing on pain; marvelling at existence.

Oh! And the energy! Since being in remission my megaloblastic anemia has resolved and my energy is back up to par :)
