Juicer recs

I bought mine romanticising about all the healthful meal replacements. Used infrequently because it is such a pain. Cleaning is a nightmare, and there are eleventy two parts! That bullet seems way easier! Can't remember its name, but watch out for the ease of handling issue.

imo, there are no right or wrong juicers - they are all very different - just like us freaky uc'er's

no pulp, some pulp, lots of pulp ......... easy to clean, not so easy, katmom's worse nightmare ........

I have an old (all stainless, weighs more than 12 camels) omega centrifugal - I like the juicing ability for most veggies, clean is pretty simple, but the feed opening is pretty small so that's a bit of a minus -

Another vote for Jack La lane :) I don't use it very often but my hubby does...there is almost no pulp with this juicer.

I have a jack la lane as well! As long as I have an empty sink to clean it in, and RIGHT away... the thing is easy to clean. Easy to use.
Its wonderful!

I love kale, carrot and apple. Probably the only thing I ever juice, lol. But I haven't been able to juice since Ive been in this flare. I made some carrot apple once and pooped my brains out.

I also have a generic (but quality) Bullet Blender. Its great for a morning smoothie. Honestly tho... even the "extractor blade" Magic Bullet is still only going to make you a smoothie.

Juicing is great, but unless you use the leftover pulp... it feels likr such a waste of the fruit/vegs.

I don't love smoothies... but I use the grinding blade it comes with to pulverize almonds and oats and then the mixing blade to mix Kefir and a banana in. Mmmm. Soooo good!

I honestly use my "magic bullet" style blender way more than my juicer. Its quite simple. And as long as you don't fill past the Max Fill Line Ive never had any issues with it. I don't know if the name brand is any better than the generic but another friend of mine has a diff generic and loves hers, too.

The great thing about the bullet or bullet style blenders is that you can get one from the store, try it... and return it if you don't like it! :D

The reason I use the bullet is for ease of making a quick smoothie and going out the door. I was using my blender just fine (and a coffee grinder for my oats and almonds) but i don't really like smoothies and i always made too much and was more of a pain to clean, etc.

It really depends on if you want smoothies or juice.
they are quite different machines and give you quite different results.

Maybe do a little more research to get an idea of what you really are looking for. And what the bullet style blenders are actually capable of. They are good for soft fruits/veg ( berries, applesauce, banana, avocado, even broccoli/spinach to an extent) but of you're looking to get more carrots, kale, apples, pears... hard things... in your diet; you'll probably want a juicer.

Again, stores have juicers too! I think Target has the Jack Lel lenne... ask for Gift Receipts... :) :)

The Breville juicer I have is fantastic; it's the compact version, works great and not too tough to clean. Apples, carrots and celery together are very tasty.

Hey all - I think I've read in posts on this forum that some of you enjoy juicing vegetables. If so, would you please tell which brand juicer you own and if you like it?

Family is asking me for gift ideas and that is one I wouldn't mind having. I know you can't really juice with a blender and/or food processor. And even though those infomercials for the Magic Bullet make it seem easy to enjoy an individual drink, I'm sure a Magic Bullet isn't as good as the real thing.

I for one enjoy juicing fruits and vegetables. I use LifeSpring slow juicer (bought it online) and I've had no problem. It juices fast and worth the price, it has an automatic reverse rotation and easy to clean as well, I've had juicer before and cleaning after use becomes a problem. I juice kale lately,apple with cucumber, celery & ginger to detox.

Omega J2004 or J2006.

All Jack Lalane and other centrifugal juicer users, you are wasting a ton of nutrients before even it comes out of your juicer...

To OP, if you can not afford Omega or similar, do NOT buy the juicer. Read up on disadvantages of centrifugal juicer (the oxidation part). There are a lot YouTube videos describing this. Put an alert on camel3 for Omega J2004 to $160 and J2006 for $200. Macys offers for these prices quite often. Set up IFTTT on some deals website.
