Hey guys... having some major issues the last couple days and not sure I'll make it through the weekend if things keep up. Dont want to have to go to ER as insurance is not processed yet!
Monday needs to come quicker! :)
Alright so, hemorrhoid... external, hard lump. Posterior to anus. Entire anus is swollen. Possible fissure but I dont see it anymore. Also tender anterior to anus, thought there was a hemorrhoid there but didnt see anything this morning.
The whole area is just a wreck. And lately ive been seeing blood literally dripping into the toilet... almost at a stream a couple times. Its painful to pass gas or d. And my rectal inflammation or these hemmies even make it hard to sit down or bend over sometimes.
I can't tell what's UC and what's hemorrhoids... as ive never had hemmies before.
What can a doctor do for hemorrhoids? Ive been using witch hazel and baby wipes and sitz baths... nothing is helping!
I need relief! Should I try to make an appt with my GP today? Though I really dont want anyone poking around down there. And I feel like the hemmies are not helping when it comes to urgency.
Even if I wanted to start adding fiber to my diet to help with the d.... theres no way I could handle the pain of anything even semi solid coming out of there!
Help! Thanks!

Yes, you should see your doc. He/she can prescribe steroid creams or suppositories to help. I have both internal and external hems. I use a steroid supp and it works fairly quickly. But if it's really large and bleeding profusely or doesn't shrink in time, they can remove it.

If you can't get to a doc, get some OTC hemmie cream. It should help at least some.

Ditto. Boy, have I been in your shoes. Sometimes it just seems like when the snowball is rolling downhill you just can't stop it. Unfortunately, for me, those steroid creams irritate me and make things worse. I have tried numerous times, thinking I just need to give them more time to work but the more I use them the more it gets worse. Recently tried again with anal inflammation (not hemmoroids) and I finally found relief with plain old Desitin, although that probably won't do a darn thing for hemmies. I found my best treatment for hemmies was to get my UC under control so I could get the snowball rolling back up the hill instead of down.

If it really hurts use some lidocaine 5%.

I actually found a Burn Cream in works first aid kit and used that to survive an evening the other day... numbed it up a bit. (Checked ingredients online first)
Appointment set for 1pm. Only 3 days away from insurance *shakes head*
Oh well, i can barely sit... or stand.. or walk... or exist! So money ain't no thank. Need to get these figured out darn it!

If they are external, they would band it and it will dry out and drop. For the internal ones, ask for Analpram. It works really well.

Are you using epsom salt in your sitz baths? That can be very helpful...and there are OTC meds for internal and external hemmies as well...prep H, anusol etc.

When my external hemmie was thrombosed I felt excruciating pressure. The doctor cut it
open and removed the clots. I think you should call your doc or go to the ER, otherwise if thrombosed it could burst. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this right now.

Verdict is in; hemorrhoid is partial thrombosed. No surgeons available today so monday I go in to have it banded? Removed? Im not sure.
Doctors note and vicodin until then. Man oh man... so much pain.
Glad I went in. Somehow today was even worse than yesterday. So glad im getting this taken care of! Got some cream for the weekend too. And a refill on my prednisone.
Productive doctors visit.

vicoden makes me so sick, the thought of taking that is painful to me. I have a prolapsed one too i think. it's right on the edge. mine doesn't hurt though, just hate that it's there. I felt it in the shower and I was like *yuck*.
embers, I saw your youtube channel and I hate to be a nervous nelly but please consider using a phony name. It can be dangerous to let people know exactly who you are on the internet.

Don't want to make you nervous but I've had banding done twice and i will never have that done again. Most painful procedure i have ever had. I finally had inpatient surgery to remove them and a couple of other things. surgery was best for me.
