Last night I had a BM around 8pm. It was great looking! Most normal poop in awhile now, proper size colour and shape. Only odd thing was it was floating. Then...woke up this morning...went to take what I thought would be a BM...and nothing but a giant blob of mucus farted out. cry I took a couple more poops today which weren't great, but still mostly formed. What on earth is going on! I haven't seen mucus since I started the meds.....sigh.

Keep up what you're doing, there are bound to be bumps along the road.

Maybe try to include some more fiber. Things that have been safe fiber foods for you :)

That sounds like me. I'm on remicade but there are still a couple nights a week where just mucus comes out. The next day I'm usually ok. Stay with your treatment.

Yup...I'm not as far as you yet, but just when things are looking better something weird happens. Oddly I do find more fiber helps. It hurts a bit more on the way out but...to me....I'd rather go and be done then sit there straibing mucous and goo.

Uc is rather good at giving you inconsistent bms, especially when you are healing. If you are seeing the occasional well formed bm, then you are most certainly heading in the right direction, so stay the course. There will be lots of ups and downs, as others have said, and man can it be discouraging to go from a good bm to a rather bad one. What you need to do is not be concerned with a single bm, but rather look for trends over a week or multiple weeks. Ask "has there been any improvement in urgency, consistency, or frequency over the last several weeks"? If you are healing then the answer should be yes.

That's what's happening to me right now. I keep going from formed to the odd D. There hasn't been any blood for awhile though, so I feel like I'm on the right track.
