I take slippery elm every nite before bed to avoid constipation and resulting hemmie problems.
You could mix it in a little juice to make it more palatable and take during the day (2 hours before/after taking meds).
Also possible...Metamucil or Miralax.
Good luck!

Prune juice has worked like a charm for me.

I have used a fiber powder for my daughter when she is having trouble. I used a generic brand from Walmart that has no taste. Mixed it in her apple juice. Start off slowly so you don't blow up your gut with gas. LOL
I myself have never used anything but I would probably do a few prunes or prune juice.

Miralax is a pretty much tasteless product that is safe and usually reliable to get things moving again. Or for a more natural product, try a senna laxative.

What rectals are you on at this point (and schedule of them).
increase your food intake, you could up vitamin C or fruit such as oranges. Apples work nicely (you will see how well or not well you chew once in the toilet..lol).
Give it a few days to start working.

Try ghee 3x a day. take it with some jam to mask the taste.
There are teas that can help ease bowel movements as well. Or perhaps a stool softener?
I think the fix is changing what you eat. If you're drinking plenty of water, steamed veggies and have coffee (which is a diuretic) you shouldn't be having this problem. Maybe there isn't enough fiber?

Stool softener and plenty water, the pooh will have dried up when it gets stuck inside for a while.
I use Ducolease as soon as a problem arises.
