longest hospital stay for flare???

When I had my first major flare back in 2012, I was in the hospital for 54 days! Could not achieve remission or whatsoever during the first full month even though I was given 100 ml of IV prednisolone per day. And the worst part was my left-sided ulcerative colitis had developed into pancolitis in the meantime. Eventually my body started responding to the prednisolone, I left the hospital unaware that the prednisolone had masked the fact that I was still flaring. So I had another major flare shortly after I tapered down the usage of oral prednisolone within 2 months time, but that's just another scary story for me to tell.
