Tried to post a poll with my last post, but I don't think it worked so I'm posting another one.

I took pred for about 3 months, starting at 60 mg for 3 or 4 weeks (don't remember). I love the way pred makes me feel, and I never got moon face or gained weight. At the end of my time on steroids I had some trouble sleeping but I was so euphoric that I didn't care, LOL.

I'm convinced the people that voted 'never had it' have either always had larger, overweight faces or else they just can't notice the difference in their face! 🙊

I never got the moon face. But then again, prednisone really didn't help me. I don't think my body ever really absorbed (for lack of a better word) it. I may as well have taken a sugar pill.

Yep, no moon face here. With 6+ months of prednisone use, no side effects at all... but also no symptom relief. Why am I still on it you ask? Doctors are crap faces.
Seriously though... never got moon face. And I owe a giant hug to everyone who has to suffer through it!
Ps: banana your face is fine! Silly banana.

I guess if you have the side effect however long you take high doses of pred (20+ mg IMO) that's how long you have it. Don't know why its called moon face though my face just got fat :p.

It's called moon face because it's fat lol. It gets round like a moon. Google moon face images. It's like nursery rhyme pictures with chubby cheeks.

No, Minners, I really didn't have it. And my face is relatively long and lean, and especially was when I was on pred because I was at a pretty low weight at the time. I think the reason I didn't get it because I was only on it for about a month and a half total, and about half of that time was either 10 mg a day or 10 mg every other day. So I really didn't have the "opportunity" to get it, so to speak.

You people suck lol. It sounds like some of the people who didn't get moon face, prednisone didn't work for them though. So I guess I'm glad it dulled my pain while I waited for remicade to start working. I'll take the moon face for now over excruciating cramps for 2 months straight. So much pain, it hurts just remembering it.
