Hello people,
Well, it's has been 3 years since my last flare up and I just wanted to share what has worked for me in the past. I have had UC for 10 years now with flare ups 2 or 3 times a year. At it's worst, I would average a 1/2 pound to 1 pound weight loss per DAY! There would be between 20-30 bathroom visits with vomiting while sitting on the pot. No fun. After many hours of research and numerous medications, I decided to try changing my diet. I started the SCD diet with GREAT success. There are 5 phases starting with very basic food. I started making bone broth which is super easy and so good for you! You can learn more here -

Also, I have added a good probiotic and jello with collagen hydrolysate which helps with joint pain and hair loss. You can make the jello with your favorite juice (diluted). You can find it here on Amazon -

I even add a big spoonful to my tea. There is no flavor and 6 grams of protein per tablespoon! And finally, my best resource, the cookbook by Danielle Walker -

She had a terrible time with UC. This brings me back to the present...I was doing so well that I started eating some grains and sugar again and here I am with a flare up! Now I am really convinced that diet plays a BIG role in UC. The proof is out there!
