I went swimming for the first time in a long time a few days ago. I'm still working on my technique so I definitely ended up accidentally inhaling/swallowing a lot of water. The next day I had the beginning symptoms of a flare. I haven't changed anything else about
diet or anything in the past 6+ months. Do you think the flare could be caused by the chlorine/pool water?

I'm not sure if it could cause a flare (I hope not because I swim a lot), but I have a mild allergy to chlorine, so every time I swim, I get cold-like symptoms for 6-12 hours afterward. Nothing GI related though.

It's probably chlorine sensitivity. I developed problems with it (mild itching) after taking biologics. What kind of water do you drink? I was able to resolve my issues by switching to spring water.

so, how about
more info regarding you, your meds, symptoms, etc.? That would be helpful.
No, it's not the gulp of pool water that would have caused a flare.

I swim a lot, and the chlorine just makes me sneeze.

Could have picked up a bug or something too.
