Butchers Broom is a supplement you can look into, it helps with internal hemmies and varicose viens in the lower half of the body. There is another supplement I can't remember currently, If you start to research Butchers Broom I'm sure you will run across the other one I can't remember. Other than that use Witch Hazel on cotton swabs and suppostories. I had a big flare last fall so bad it hurt to stand up or sit in certain positions, even walking normal was an issue some times.
I'm not sure how affective the supplements actually were because I was loading up on all of the other typical relief remedies at the same time. But eventually the swelling went down it took about 3 weeks though of continously doing everything I could. I think I went through at least a box of suppositories a week and two big bottles of witch hazel - but only half a bottle of the supplements, so maybe it was the heavy use of the typical stuff or a small amount of supplements that ended up working. Either way I like to use the biggest arsenol I can get when going into battling anything UC.
I hear taking a bath in Epson salts help a lot, I tried it a couple times and didn't feel any relief myself for the internal ones, but it might be worth a shot as well.
