non gmo is more important then organic, if you must pick one. GMO grains are such an incredibly bad idea.

PK's article suggesting that "leaky gut" may be caused by Bt crops is a very real possibility that has not been thoroughly investigated.

Only one study showing that GMOs are unsafe has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, and it was retracted
Fruitgirl might be referring to the following study and she is absolutely right, it has been retracted. Actually it was as much a study about
Roundup as it was about
GMOs. The research was carried out by Caen University in France, and has been peer reviewed by independent scientists to guarantee the experiments were properly conducted and the results are valid. But the reason why it was finally retracted was that it was determined that the number of rats involved in the study – 200 – was too small to draw any meaningful conclusions.
It is the first experiment to look at the impact of eating a GM diet over a lifetime in rats, which is two years. To date, Monsanto's safety assessments of GM crops have been based on rat feeding trials lasting only 90 days. Large tumors appeared in female rats after seven months.
It seems to me that the retraction doesn't prove that GMOs saturated with Roundup are safe, it only says we need to conduct further research with a larger sample size of rats. In the meantime I will agree with the European Union and prefer to stay away from GMO corn.
Actually these pictures are really disgusting.
