I'm most definitely flaring, no bm for 3 days, swollen, no urges to go. Feels like a male trying to squeeze a baby out... Atm no insurance yet. I can usually go to the regular doctor, tell them what I have and they'll write a prescription for what I ask. I looking for rectal meds i think? What would be my best med solution?

Perhaps you can go to the doctor and ask for samples? That could hold you over for a short time. Are you planning to get insurance soon? I never have it where I don't go when I am flaring, always the opposite. I know either way is tough to deal with, especially when you have no insurance and you feel like you're unable to afford to do anything about it. Mesalamine enemas are generic but I am not sure what they cost without insurance. Possible steroid supporitories, i think those are also generic. on the other hand, I know the steroid foam is name brand and very expensive.

Hydrocortisone suppositories are very inexpensive. As I recall, the HC enemas are also pretty reasonable.

Ok, good news, and bad news. Having bad pain went and got seen. The good news is they didn't think anything serious. Left filled with nothing gas, right side filled with nothing but stool; didn't see any blockage and said its just constipation. Bad news, laxitive + uc + work + gotta clock out because my boss thinks i'm misusing bathroom breaks..... :/ and he didn't bother writing any scrip.... no i'll just wait 4 insurance to kick in

Hope it helps...at least to relieve the constipation. When does your insurance kick in?
