Taking Allergy Meds With Lialda

I am currently on 750mg daily of Lialda. I suffer from horrible allergies and I was wondering if I can take allergy meds while on Liada? I will still consult my doctor of course but I was wondering what your experiences and advice might me.

Yep perfectly fine to take allergy meds.

It's ok to take the allergy meds but I'm confused. Lialda usually comes in 1.2 gram caplets. In your signature you list Balsalazide 750 mgs. They are two different drugs.

I asked my dr and he said it was no problem. He even told me some people find that the antihistamine improves their UC symptoms.

There have actually been some studies of treating UC with antihistamines but the results weren't really very impressive. I think placebos outscored the successes with antihistamines.

garylouisville - I have tried changing my signature but it won't accept the changes. I was on Balsalazide 750 mgs and then switched to Lialda (4 pills a day at 750mgs) in January of this year.
