Hi folks! Figured I'd let everyone know how I'm coming along- I went to see my surgeon today to finally get all my staples removed- things are looking really good. There is a small area near the top of my butt that's open- he said it will fill in on it's own, just keep it clean, do sitz baths, etc. I did ask for more pain meds, despite feeling like a junkie, & he freely gave me another scipt for oxycodones. My love affair with dilaudids comes to an end...!!! I find I really do need them still- only 2-4 per day, but it helps! He did say try to take them at longer intervals, & to give Extra Strength Tylenol a try too. The path. report came back from Boston- no cancer, no sign of Crohns, just chronic severe ulcerative colitis. I go back to see him in another 3 weeks, & barring any weirdness, that's it for the surgeon & myself! I'm still doing really well with the bag- I've gotten 5 days wear time with both bags that I've put on myself- I need to change tomorrow, & plan to try a Hollister set-up. I swear it's these moldable wafers- they're totally idiot proof! It's been 2 weeks since my surgery, & I already feel 100x better. Even with the tiny open butt wound! Amazingly so, I had absolutely zero complications. Thanks everyone, for talking & walking me thru this- your help has been immeasurable!
