Canasa. Is it true?

I just did a three month refill for a flare and threw out my 2010 supply (last flare)

I had no idea it's supposed to be refrigerated. Is that true?

It does not need refrigeration if it is kept at relatively normal room temps. If you live in a very hot climate and don't have a-c, refrigeration would be wise. But normally, not needed.

I never refrigerated my Canasa. But then again, I kept in the basement where my bedroom was. I had to take it on vacation once and had to pack it on ice because the temps were a bit high were I was going. As long as the temps don't melt it, it should be fine. If it's warm in your house, then yes, refrigeration might be wise.

If it hasn't melted as Red said, then I think it's fine. Medications tend to lose their efficacy because of oxidation that occurs in hot weather.

I've never heard it has to be refrigerated, either. Just so long as it's not been really hot, it's fine.

Yeah. I think the only question is the wax coating on the outside. If it melts then it would be very hard to use. As long as it doesn't melt then I see no problems with it being unrefrigerated.
