My GI says there is no sign or indication of ulcerative colitis!
We talked about
bile in my colon from no gallbladder. It isn't causing me problems. If it does, pain and diahrrea, I can call him and get started on a medication. I told him I have started Metamucil and he said he thought that was good and that it may help bind the bile with everything else and move it out. (My words, not his). More small meals, snacks to keep food in my stomach can help too.
Diverticulosis, watch for problems, fever, pain, bleeding. He said "they" are saying not to worry about
what you eat. He advised to continue Journaling and if something bothers me, don't eat it.
From my stool sample there is a little unabsorbed fat. He said this could be a concern and we may want to retest it. I cannot remember what he said the symptom/problem would be, I just remember telling him I didn't have that problem. He said if the stool set around too long in the lab, it could show that way.
My electrolytes tend to drop a little, probably from the diuretic in my blood pressure med.
Talked about
hiatal hernia. Could look into surgery to fix, I'm not that worried about
it.
I see him in 1 year unless I have problems.
I may have a glass of wine with dinner to celebrate!

They are still loose, not diahrrea. I have started taking Metamucil. He said that was a good idea and may help with the bile/loose stool. I can let him know if I want the med for the bile, but I would like to try this with the metamucil and probiotics. I'm going to start with Greek yogurt and go from there.
I feel better than I have in possibly 10 years.

Man,that's great! Yeah if you can manage the bile problem with metamucil that's even better! You sure are lucky.

I am truly blessed, and very grateful but, my son has Crohn's and I would keep this in a heartbeat if he could be rid of it!
