Who smokes and how many a day ?

I started smoking in my teens, by my late teens/early 20s it was around half a pack or more a day. UC started/was diagnosed when I was 24.

Each time I was in the hospital flaring I ended up stopping (longest was for about seven months - it had no effect) but eventually started again each time. It never prevented a flare from coming up or helped alleviate symptoms at all.

I have been back in total remission for over 20 months now. I started smoking again 3 1/2 years ago and had one short lived mini flare, not even close to the flare I was in when I quit smoking(last time was a year and a half of hell) . I try to keep it to under 10 cigs per day. Nasty habit and hard to control....
