Sitz bath, 3-5 times a day and ice it as well. I bought some small, flexible cooler packs and froze them, wrapped them in plastic bags and put them in my undies twice a day. That really helped with the pain , the sitz bath helps reduce the swelling. I got my first one while pregnant, it was not fun!
