GI Appointment Friday - So frustrated.

Hello again everyone,

I posted on here a few weeks ago about my proctitis issues. Canasa isn't working, hydrocortisone supps aren't working, hydrocortisone enemas aren't working. GI put me on Uceris 21 days ago and I haven't really seen any improvement, however I also haven't seen any side effects either, unlike that horrible prednisone which I've been on three times prior with only the first time being successful. I haven't been in remission since last October when I was first diagnosed. Little did I know then that that would be the best I was feeling with this stupid disease. Now I have blood on every bathroom visit, pain, cramping, bloating, urgency, etc. Very frustrated. Does Uceris take a while to work? Anyone taking it with good results during a flare?

I've been doing the rectal meds for a while with no relief, and perhaps only a worsening of symptoms. GI put me on Uceris because he said that it was the only oral med that could work at the end of the colon to give me some relief, however I'm not seeing it. He gave me samples enough for 24 days, and I guess Ill see on Friday if he wants me to stay on it for the 8 weeks or change to something else.
