Fever like symptoms?

Does anyone ever experience fever like symptoms? Like you feel like your catching a cold, body gets hot, etc. However when you take your temperature it comes back as normal?

At this point I have a sore throat too but I can't tell whether or not I'm catching a cold or whether it's related to my UC..

On another side note I'm scheduled to go in for a colonoscopy on July 11th to see what's going on in there after a year. smhair

I have but tested positive for Lyme's disease. I have a cold sore right now too on my lip. Yes it seems like my body is always fighting something off. Fun.

It seems like our body is trying to fight off something.

Is there anything that you guys do to help relieve yourself of these symptoms? Cold shower? Extra garlic supplements? Vitamin C?

Anything? haha

I have the same sometimes, usually its in the evening, it doesn't last long, fleeting actually, and I have just put it down to good old UC!

I've never had a fever connected with my UC, although I rarely get fevers anyway. Still, having a fever would make you think your body is trying to fight something and if you were able to get rid of whatever it was your body is fighting, maybe your UC would be cured. Unfortunately, some things are with us for life and can't be gotten rid of. Originally I thought my UC was brought on by an EBV infection, which you can't get rid of. I kind of disposed of that idea though several years ago and now just blame some broad spectrum antibiotics they gave me to fight off what was later diagnosed as Mono. They didn't know what it was at the time they gave me the antibiotics but I was in the hospital in bad shape with an uncontrollable fever and migraine headache that just wouldn't go away.

Well at this point my throat is sore, my head hurts, and my nose is beginning to run. So I'm pretty sure this is a cold. Going to up the vitamin C intake and try to get rid of this cold. However I did have instances in the past where just like Poppie stated it just goes away after a day.
