Unfortunately, insurance companies are starting to go on strike against extremely expensive new drugs coming out or already out which obviously don't have generics. They're tying to play hardball with Big Pharma by refusing to cover these drugs, hoping Big Pharma buckles under the pressure and reduces the costs of these ridiculously expensive drugs. In a way I can't blame them and maybe in the end it will be good for us all. Until then though, patients are going to be paying the price (and I don't mean money). It's a struggle between the insurers and Big Pharma with us innocent pawns caught in the middle.
