Asacol in my poo

You saw it in person and you don't know...how the heck would we know? Lol. Next time grab some gloves and investigate, gross, but gotta do whats ya gotta do. If it is asacol you need to check if its just the empty shell or if its still full of the medicine. I've had both. If there's still medicine in the pill you need to keep an eye on that and make sure it's a one time thing and not habitual. If it happens more frequently you should talk to your doc and determine if you need another delivery method for your meds.

big red square wouldn't be a long oval pill. I'd say it's the casing. I see them in my stool often, but they're "pulverised" and not as deep red as the pill casing colour.

It's actually not "common"....it is commonly mistaken casings for full pills, however.

Well it was "common" for me, pills and casings both.

I've had my pills come out whole before (Lialda), I think when I was on a flare a few years ago.

I think it all depends on the speed of your metabolism, the more irritated You are (or at least i am) the faster it goes through. I used to see Asacol all the time from barely barely open capsules to the casings to totally closed capsules, I still haven't seen it yet with lialda, personally, but can't speak to how common it is for others.
