Has anyone gotten worse on prednisone?

Im not talking about it just not working, I know some people are prednisone resistant, but has it made anyone actually worse? And did getting off it make you better again? Please share your story if it has!

I have not heard of it making IBD worse, but can see how it could make IBS worse. Symptoms are symptoms.

Worse after tappering? or just starting Predisone?

The first time I used Predisone I got really sick but it was actually from C.diff, I think that the Predisone contributed to me getting c.diff.

I had a recent flare up where I was tapering off Entocort. Turns out that I had built up a resistance to Humira so when I tapered the Entocort I was off everything. I started 20mg of prednisone but symptoms just got worse and I ended up in the hospital. I don't think that this really is about prednisone making it worse but more that the flare was too severe for it to be addressed by the low dose.

Worse after starting, then once I get below 20mg things start to improve. Im starting to think I don't even have ulcerative colitis, this is just weird...

I remember DD's GI saying if the flare is caused by C.diff, Perdnisone won't work.

Ya that's the first thing my doc tested for, I was negative. I must have some sort of infection, just have no idea what..

I feel horrible on the prednisone. It isn't doing anything for the flare, and it has made my lower legs swell to the point of feeling like they will burst, my throat is tight and my voice is raspy, and my taste is terribly off, nothing tastes good. I think the Humira is finally starting to work (just had my second set of shots), but before that I was still losing blood, horrible urgency, and just feeling exhausted. Not sure what the prednisone was supposed to offer me.
