I'm just saying you should be kinder to yourself. Sometimes UC disappears permanently for people... I have always wondered why this is... that and the placebo effect have been my study topics as of late.
Best.
If UC really does permanently disappear, then I would suspect an infectious colitis, 'cos most of those are self-limiting in nature.
But that said, there are many people who are in remission for the majority of their lives. If I recall the stats correctly, at any one time 75% of people with IBD are in remission. Think we sometimes get an overly bleak view of this disease on this board, whereas in reality somebody like my brother is probably more the norm. (He has had Crohn's/proctitis for 15-ish years and has been in remission most of the time.)
Me, I was sh!t unlucky and got the short end of the genetic straw as always. Why else am I here on HW being depressing?

I have so many appointments which lead me to have hospital stays which causes me to get so much attention from family friends and doctors especially I just feel that I want to be in my own bubble
Would you want the exact opposite, no attention at all? Because I hear this complaint a lot, but I have always had the opposite experience: nobody IRL gave a toss about
my disease, visited me when I was in hospital, etc. apart from my parents. My doctors and IBD nurses never cared one way or another either.
Genuinely curious as to what people would choose: too much attention or no attention.
