Yes, I think you're right where the only thing that really does make sense is a change/breakdown in mucus.

I can't for the life of me figure out what the mucus deal is with Crohn'-Colitis. If in Crohn's it is thick and UC it it thin, what is it in Crohn's isolated to the colon? The below two suggest in the first one that it is thicker, but the second one seems to show that it is actually thinner in the inflamed areas and even thiner than UC in the non-inflamed areas in Chohn's patients unless I read these wrong.

I was contemplating adding Phosphatidylcholine & Glutamine as in Brigg's thing to the WOO which I have great success with, but am unsure if I should - due be being unsure of what the mucus deal is in Crohn's-Colitis.

Have you tired Phosphatidylcholine?

I really have never looked at crohns colitis.

But in general it is not just the dimensional thickness of mucus in Uc,but also the viscosity.

Bacteria can easily penetrate low viscosity mucus.

Crohns mucus too thick not flushing bacteria from crypts, it needs bicarbonate to expand, something

not right with bicarbonate transport, same with COPD we have a thread on that somewhere.

Actually believe the mucus is unexpanded,perhaps not overly thick just unexpaneded.

Some here go PC pills from Germany, no effect.

I tried short term low amount enema of PC, it was irritating so stopped.

I think I may also have done oral like 20 years ago,dont believe it will
get past the stomach unless enteric coated to release in the colon.
