Hello everyone,

My name is Jenna, and I was just recently (FINALLY) diagnosed with Ulcerative Proctitis. It felt really good to have a diagnosis for this annoying issue. I ran across this site multiple times when I was searching for information online, and decided to join. I just wanted to say HELLO and I look forward to learning more about UC/UP together with you all!

Hi, Jenna! Your attitude is a lot like mine when I was first diagnosed; I was relieved to finally know what was wrong (after being horribly sick, with a newborn to boot!) and was glad to get started treating it. Luckily, I responded pretty quickly to meds and was able to achieve remission w/o too many problems.

Welcome! I was just diagnosed this week too. I understand about finally having a diagnosis! It is a relief to finally have a name for what is going on in my body.

They currently have me on CANASA suppositories, twice daily. Plus I have to take Benefiber every day.
