Awww, poor thing. No diagnosis is the worst. I did not read your previous posts at all but are you having any blood or mucous with your diarrhea?
As for probiotics... are you using a reputable quality one? You may want to try one that has more than just one strand.
or eating probiotic rich foods like Probiotic yogurt (find a natural one lower in sugar) and Kefir.
As for food - gotta eat to live. But I know it can suck :(
I suggest BRAT- banana rice applesauce toast
I also find maybe potatoes really palatable. Plain pasta as well.
You may want to read about Resistant Starches - you can Google it or use the Search function on the forum. Its complicated and I dont personally use them but they can be helpful.
Hopefully your biopsies get you results. With doctor not finding anything in colonoscopy you could be looking at IBS or food allergy/intolerance.
You may want to try some of the bland foods suggested and keep a food and poop journal. Hell - take pictures of your poop even. Are you having liquid diarrhea or more soft serve or liquid with chunks?
Gut issues suck - and are so complicated.
Have you tried to get any allergy tests done?
Good luck
Thanks for your answer Embersglow1
I've been having blood and mucus in stool for a few years, that's why I had the colonoscopy, of course no one wants to be sick but at the moment all I want is a diagnosis and to try proper medication, doctor's can't prescribe you anything when they don't know what's wrong... Doctor's first thought it was IBS, then I started having bloody stool and they said that's wasn't a symptom of IBS at all so it was probably IBD.
As for the probiotics, I think these are okay, the brand is a very well known over here, the only problem I can think of is the fact that the bacteria could be dead by now, I've had the bottle for a few months but they also have it in the store for a long time and they still sell them, I'm not considering buying a new bottle because they are incredibly expensive, I can't really afford them right now, I'll probably go to a pharmacy and see what they have.
I've been keeping a food/poop journal for a while and I can't see a pattern, the foods that I always considered safe can bother me out of nowhere, I end up cutting back on them to end up experiencing the same symptoms, I only feel better if I don't eat at all.
The diarrhea I've been having is liquid with chunks, before the colonoscopy it was a more soft serve and I had no cramps, before this I rarely had cramps, I would just feel like I needed to go never knowing what to expect, now I know it's going to be diarrhea even before entering the toilet.
I think tests for allergies are the next step, I would have prefered to have the tests before having a colonoscopy but since I have anemia doctor's wanted to see if it was related to my bleeding.
You're right, gut issues are so complicated, those who are close to me are always asking me why do I stress so much over this and why it is such a big deal to have a normal bowel movement, if only they knew what it's like... I really miss the times when having a bowel movement was something completely normal and carefree!
