Hi and thanks for your thread.
I find this extremely interesting as i have also been experimenting with nicotine for the past 6 weeks. I have been smoking an e-cig (vapour pipe) and i've significantly improved.
Before smoking the pipe i had 3-4BMs a day, mostly loose and bloody, after 1 week on the pipe i saw a huge difference....normally formed BMs and no blood and only once a day.
As well as this i have been eating very well and sticking with my meds (balsalazide 3 x daily). I have doubts that the nicotine alone has helped that much as if i hadnt been sticking with meds and foods i am not sure what would have happened, but it's definately added another "weapon" in fighting the UC. However, i think the UC was making me rather anxious in certain situations and i find the pipe knocks the anxiety on the head (i am an ex-smoker for 6 years, quit 4 years back).
It'd be great to understand how you get on with this and i'm happy to discuss my progress if you want to share.
I am currently "vaping" 12MG strength but i am planning to reduce this to 6MG to see if the weaker strength still has the same effect.
