Please help me understand my colonoscopy report?!

So I've been suffering the last 3/4 months with d multiple times a day, then a couple of months ago started passing loads of mucus then a month ago it turned to bloody mucus, also had pains lower left but mostly right and upper right. Bodyaches, headaches, tenesmus & lost some weight to.

So I had a colonoscopy yesterday, didn't go to plan however!
Apparently I have a really loopy colon and after 40 minutes of unbearable pain and them only getting to the distal? Transverse they gave up and said ill have be referred to hospital to have it done.
Anyways they didn't explain report to me and my gp was convinced I had uc but like I say guy didn't explain his findings at all.

Says:
Very difficult colonoscopy due to a loopy colon.
Despite position changing and multiple manuvers I was not able to reduce the loop formed in sc.
The procedure was stopped in the distal tc.
The rectum was moderately inflamed with multiple, superficial small and round ulcers. The vascular pattern is still visible. The rest of clon explored was normal.
Ibd? Infective colitis? Microscopic colitis

He's also said for gp to refer me urgently to gi team at hospital.

My questions are, why am I getting pain in lower left if the inflammations only in rectum? And if I do have it on the right it can't be uc can it?! Does the description sound like uc?

If anyone could explain any of it to me that'd be great! Also has anyone heard of a loopy colon?!

It sounds to me like you need to wait for the results of the biopsies but I don't see a note that biopsies were taken. Did the GI say whether they would follow up with you with results?

And he said to contact my gp for results!

Also unless it is Crohns Disease, you wont have inflammation in any other part of your colon or small intestine. UC doesnt skip section of colon.

You did the colonoscopy w/out sedation? I would wait on the biopsies.

I was given some sedation and they said they could top it up if I wanted, but the 2 nurses ended up putting pressure on my tummy where scope was trying to guide it or something, I was begging them to top it up but they kept saying we'll get round this corner then see how you are! Absolutely traumatic I'm going to say I need to be knocked out if they want to give me another!!

Okay reread and kind of made sense of it. If it is ulcerative colitis it would be limited to just your rectum. The pain can radiate in other places near by.
or you probably dont have uc.

Biopsies will give you a much better answer.

Did they put you on any antibiotics?

Colonoscopy without sedation - im amazed...

My blood tests were fine, esr slightly high, and occult blood tests were negative, however that was taken before I started getting bloody mucus.
Just can't believe my luck, was looking forward to getting colonoscopy out the way so I could start treatment and understand what's going on in there!
Now I just have to wait again! Gutted.
