Q for those using mesalasine enemas

I have been using the Pentasa Enema every night for about a week. I am currently having a mild flare. I have noticed a few times that I have quite watery black bits in my stool. I had a big blob of it this morning. After using the enema I always have an 'explosive' poo first thing on the morning that is runny which I assumed was some of the enema coming out. But what are these black blobs? Are they blood? Because I have not been bleeding with this flare really.

I use the salofalk foam enemas and often get blackish blobs with stool or when evacuating the enema. However these blackish blobs are actually a very dark purple/black blob and are the enema. Do you think this could be the case for you?

Yes it very well could be the enema as it looks far too dark to be blood but was not sure. Yes they are very dark black/purple blobs or streaks on tp when I wipe.

My opinion is it's very likely the enema but, of course, do keep an eye out and monitor any changes.
