I suddenly got the urge to go to the bathroom today. And seen something read in my stool. I got really scared and it took me like 10 minutes to think of everything I've eaten that looked like this. At first it looked like a red sun flower seed. I narrowed it down to It being a asocal capsule(I think)
Anyways Is this normal or is it a reason to have an anxiety attack and flip out? :/

There are a lot of posts about this in the past - search will find info. Often it's the shell without medicine but you really can't tell whether it's empty or full. If it was just one, I wouldn't be alarmed. If it's happening all the time, you should tell your GI and perhaps a different mesalamine medicine would dissolve better for you.

I do think I need to get something better. I've been taking them for 2 months now and I still feel uncomfortable swollen. Would you recommend anything better with inflammation then asacol?
I can't get comfortable laying or sitting down. It always feels like I'm laying on my intestines. It's annoying.

There is a post in the resources thread that sums up the differences. Perhaps adding some kind of rectal med would help. I personally like Lialda because it's less pills but everyone is different and what works for one doesn't work for everyone. It's tough but you just have to try.
