Does this ever get easier?

Oh my that's awful! So glad you got better.
I hoped it must of been my body getting over the pregnancy at first but went to the docs cause my stomach had always been so good.
This has made my health anxiety bad too, I've always had it but it didn't cause me any problems as I had no reason to worry!
This has made me so aware of what my body's doing its horrible.
Think the timing of it with my hormones all over the place anyways not helped!

Lou12345, I've had many, many tests. A few colonoscopies and endoscopies, some cat scan, and MRI and ultrasound as well as some nuclear science tests to check for flow of digestion. Now going for a specialized blood test to determine the TYPE of colitis/IBS I have and need to get another ct scan.

This is getting really tiring.

Talked to my GI doc today because I'm getting dehydrated due to vomiting/diarrea. He said go back into the hospital. I don't think I can do that. Not on the 5th time around now.

Tried to get blood drawn today for the specialized blood test but I was too dehydrated for them to draw it. I drank water but couldn't keep it down. Vicious cycle.

I do hope you have better luck! What tests have you had so far?

Believe it or not, I'm here in the states (Florida) - Not the greatest healthcare. But some of this is my fault. I keep having to go back in the hospital because of my illness so much so that I cannot get the special tests I need by seeing the GI on my own outside the hospital (since they consider the hospital to be only for emergency really).

So, I haven't been diag. with the specific Colitis I have.

I am truly sorry that you have to go through this too. It's horrible. But knowing I'm not alone in this, is honestly setting me at a bit of ease.

Interesting you should ask that. The second time I was admitted in the hospital, I get a phone call right when I was talking to my doctor in the room. It was from my boss. He told me "don't come back to work. We don't need you". What a way to go! NOT! I have to support myself and pay $485 a month for insurance just for me. Let alone rent, etc. I'm absolutely terrified and cry every day. Yes, I'm truly on my own - believe me. That's why I think this chat talking/chatting to you is so helpful.

I DEFINITELY feel like this is going to be feeling this way forever. I can't imagine! But we have to have hope.

My colonoscopy showed inflamed intestines, but why they aren't giving me meds at this point (something at least) is beyond me. My new GI doc says he's even wondering if I HAVE colitis. What else could it be besides crones? I feel like my docs are guessing too. That's why they want me to go through these other tests (very specialized blood tests and yet ANOTHER cat scan to check the arties/veins).

I'm soooo sorry about you having a baby right now. I'm sure it's bitter sweet (having your newborn, but this PAIN)!

You keep on maternity leave as long as you can stretch it! I know EXACTLY what you mean. I said it several times that there is no way I could work if I still had my job (maybe a blessing in disguize). Thank goodness I have a job coming my way where I can work from home on my computer for the type of work I do do!
